Easter weekend was nice. Susan and I got away for the weekend with a trip to Quinn's Hot Springs. It was our first time there and it didn't disappoint. We had a good dinner (with a great bottle of wine) on Saturday night and then camped in the woods with the RV. Sunday morning was majestic. This spring has been the most invigorating spring in quite sometime. Maybe it was the isolation of Northern California that did it, but I have really enjoyed being back in Montana, with the warming and lengthening of the days.

So we got up early Easter morning for a run/hike. I took off early and ran up Seigel Creek Rd. As you can see by the pictures, it's just a forest service road. I climbed up the road for 30 minutes or so before turning back toward camp. Susan made it a hike and we caught up with each other about a half mile from the RV.

My run was fantastic. I felt like superman. These past few weeks have been tough getting in my training days, so every time I run after a day or two off, I feel great. That says something about rest and recovery, not to mention topping off the glycogen stores in the muscles.

So now that we are back in Montana for a while, maybe I'll just start fishing. Who needs all this running anyways? =)
