Wow, spring is here and we've had an awesome week in Northern Cal. It has given me the opportunity to get out and ride. So, I called a local mountain biker, Pete, who was kind enough to show me the local roads and trails. Tuesday was a nice 30 miler, on the road, after work. We did a figure 8 around the valley and included a few small climbs. But it was Wednesday's MTB ride that was awesome. Turns out that Quincy has literally hundreds of miles of singletrack and forest service roads that climb and traverse the hills and we covered about 18 miles just outside of town.
Pete has been riding these trails for ten plus years and has been instrumental in cutting some of the trails. And at 55 years old, this guy still has what it takes to climb and descend some steep slopes. All-in-all it was a great ride. Thanks Pete.
Happy Trails
